HealthTech Summit on Friday to explore new technology opportunities

Kochi, June 22: Experts from across the country are to converge in this city on Friday to discuss the latest trends and innovations in health technology, as Kerala Minister SmtVeena George will inaugurate a mega conclave being organised chiefly by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).

The pioneering ‘HealthTech Summit 2022’, which KSUM is hosting at Le Meridian in association with Kerala’s Ministry of Health and Caritas Hospital, will feature 35 speakers. To be declared open by Health Minister SmtVeena George, the session will be addressed by Health and Family Welfare Department Principal Secretary ShriRajan N. Khobragade, State Digital Health Mission Director Shri K. Mohammed Y. Safarulla and KSUM Chief Executive Officer ShriJohn M. Thomas.

Seeking to give a common platform to a whole range of stakeholders in the health sector, the day-long event is being organised with cooperation also from IT Kerala, State Family Welfare Department, eHealth Kerala and technology business incubator TIMed.

The summit, which aimsto capitalise the prospects of Kerala’s status as a frontrunner in wellness, has been scheduled at a time when healthtech is the country’s fastest-growing startup sector after FinTech.Stakeholders and hospitals interested in participating can register at https://healthtechsummit.startupmission.in/.

The summit is set to debate the challenges in health-related data leveraging, with startups getting an opportunity to showcase their products and services to the hospitals and healthcare administrators. The event will also see Kerala launching a Healthtech Accelerator for startups to build globally-scalable amazing products.

No less than 25 health experts will address the sessions on Digital Solutions Landscape for Hospitals, Relevance of Technology Interventions in Scaling a Healthcare Business, Healthcare Innovation in Digital Technologies, Breaking Health Data Silos for Better AI Research, Leveraging Data and Analytics in Healthcare, Epidemic — Best Models via Technology, Revolutions in Healthcare Skills, Investment Landscape in Healthtech, Overview of Medical Devices and Innovation Healthcare Startups.

KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
